In recognition of the thousands of people who have come to Cornerstone Gardens and had their picture taken on the iconic Big Blue Chair, we proudly announce our Blue Chair Photo Contest. Enter to win and show us how the Blue Chair made it home with you.

In the 4 years that have followed the installation of the Big Blue Chair by the Montreal based landscape design firm, NIP Paysage, we have witnessed families, friends, lovers, stuffed animals, pets and normally quite introverted individuals make the assent to have their photo taken on the famous Blue Chair.

Here's your chance to share and maybe win a prize for your submission. Submissions will be posted on our Facebook page and winners will be voted on and announced monthly.

How to Participate: We will be accepting your photo submissions via email at contest@cornerstonesonoma.com or by mail, (attn: Photo Contest, 23570 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, Ca.). *For official contest rules please contact us via email.

Prizes: Awarded monthly-all monthly winners will be eligible for the Grand Prize in December.

Grand Prize includes:

A tasty case of wine selected from Cornerstone vintners. A collection of amazing gifts from the unique merchants at Cornerstone including: Zipper, A New Leaf Gallery, Opia, Potter Green & Co., and Artefact Design Salvage.

Lunch for 6 and private tour of the gardens, by horticulturalist Dawn Smith.

History of The Blue Chair: Created in 2007 for Cornerstone Sonoma by the Montreal based design firm NIP Paysage - The Big Blue Chair has become an iconic symbol in Sonoma Valley.

About the Design Firm NIP– Established in 2001, NIP paysage is composed of five design professionals working in the field of Landscape Architecture. The members of NIP paysage founded their firm in Montreal after having taken part in numerous international projects, working in the company of avant-garde legends such as Martha Schwartz and Hargreaves Associates. Renowned for their dynamism, and high quality services, NIPpaysage is part of a new wave of emerging Landscapes Architects.

Big Blue Chair - Designer intent: Taking the time to sit down is an invitation to an instant vacation that allows you to fully experience the moment.
